Carson's Week in Review: Episode 7
Howdy friends!
This past week I had my first exam and another lacrosse game - basically the entire highlight of the week summed up. First, I had my first big exam of the semester in Managerial Economics, a class I do somewhat enjoy because of the professor and classmates, but it is a difficult class. My main goal of the semester is just to pass. I took a bit of time studying, for me anything over an hour is honestly a lot, but I spent about three hours the night before the exam to review our notes and make sure I knew the math as well as the concepts behind the math to give myself the best shot I could. I sat down for the exam and although it took me right up until the last seconds to complete it, I felt like I did alright! We did get our grades back and I'll just say that I exceeded my expectation of just passing and did pretty well, all things considered.
Over the weekend, our lacrosse team played our first home game of the season, hosting DePauw university from Indiana. Although I believe they are a better team than Alma, who we played the weekend prior, I think we played a better game ourselves and held them to zero points until the fourth quarter. For those of you who don't know lacrosse, it's a fairly high scoring game and at the college level its pretty good to hold a team to less than seven or eight points, let alone a single goal. We got most of the team into the game and I played for a little less than a quarter in the second half and while I only faced one shot from our opponents, I didn't allow a goal. We went on to win, 10-1 and moved our season record to 2-0. We played well overall but we definitely have some parts of our game to clean up before we play our next few games against some of the top ranked teams in the country. I am looking forward to letting you all know how we did when we get back from spring break!
Thanks for reading!

I agree with you in terms of the semester! Sometimes when you have so much going on already all you want to do is just make it through with decent grades. Also, It really looks like you guys are going to own your season! Keep up the strong teamwork!
